What isn’t in our products is just as important as what is. Stop a moment and really think about that. All of the products you’ve bought before at the grocery store, the drug store, the convenience store, and the big box stores have one thing in common. They are all commercially prepared with chemicals and preservatives. Those preservatives make their products last years longer on a shelf but they also interact with human skin resulting in damage at the cellular level causing dysfunction and some forms of cancer.
We have been applying these products to our skin for years, not knowing what they contain. Next time you walk through one of these isles at the store, turn over the bottle and look for parabens in the ingredients list. You’ll pick up one bottle after another in the search for one that is not like the others. This is not limited to cheaply made or inexpensive products. Costly high-end products from shampoo and body wash to lotion, cosmetics and wrinkle creams; commercial products are all preserved with chemicals.
Just because you’ve found one bottle of the 28 you picked up that you can’t directly find a paraben in their ingredients list doesn’t mean you are safe yet either. Sodium Benzoate is a chemical preservative used in processed foods and skin care products alike. The more common problem, however, is the combination of sodium benzoate and citric acid and/or ascorbic acid (vitamin C). When these ingredients get together, they form benzene, a cancer-causing chemical directly associated with leukemia and other blood cancers.
These are the top of a laundry list of chemical compounds used in commercially available products that are never used in our all natural product lines. These are the some of the reasons more people are joining The Chemical Free Revolution each day to care for their bodies with all natural products.
